Gang Beasts has already been an ongoing project for like 4-5 years now with two more Beasts games on the way, and honestly I wouldn't be suprised if they felt like they wanted to move on. They still have future Gang Beasts updates on the way and they have games coming out after too. Because you can also push and pull each other around. The game models real physics so you have to work with the grappling and jelly-like bodies to both get around and land any attacks.
Generally something like this would require more of their time and resources, which right now they've been focused on other things. Gang Beasts is an over the top brawling game where you play wobbly characters who kick, throw, push, pull and pummel up to seven other rivals to win. This simply means if youre playing on PlayStation 4 then you cannot able to play. Online multiplayer is only functional on the latest builds and will not work between different builds. No, the Gang Beasts is not cross platform between the PlayStation 4 and PC. Customise your character and fight local and online enemies in the melee game mode or fight with friends against the gangs of Beef City in the gang game mode. You cannot Cross-Play Gang Beasts on different platforms or consoles. They wouldn't be able to push out updates as fast on console as they could on PS4. Gang Beasts is a silly multiplayer party game with surly gelatinous characters, brutal slapstick fight sequences, and absurd hazardous environments, set in the mean streets of Beef City. Gang Beasts does not support Cross-Platform. They would need a pretty good server infrastructure, likely better than the one they have now so players could achieve a smooth online experience between multiple platforms. Just a few reasons that I presume would hold back Boneloaf from giving Gang Beasts cross platform support More content on the way and also better optimisation is a big one too. Online multiplayer still has a ways to go in its current state. Online was overall rushed due to community feedback, which unfortuantely a lot of it was toxic. Boneloaf got Coatsink to help build the online multiplayer functionalities for Gang Beasts from what seemed like out of the blue, like a good year or two sooner than what we thought. I don't think the devs actually ever commented on that but just assuming from their development past I honestly can't see them making this game support cross platform multiplayer Why not? I know they are a smaller company, but this game is widely controller based even when on pc. For example, the PS4 players won't be able to play against Xbox One and any other platform. But, one more thing, that Gang beast won't introduce cross-platform across all the platforms. Gang Beasts developer stated that in the next update, the cross-platform feature will be introduced.
